Lobsters worth taka more than 10 lakh were poisoned to death when miscreants poured poison in a fish farm measuring 5 bighas of lands (about 2.5 acres) belonging to Md. Zakir Hossain Khan, a fish trader and son of one late Abul Hossain Khan of village Uttar Rajapur under Sharankhola Upazila in Bagerhat district in the early hours of Wednesday.
Zakir Hossain Khan disclosed to the newsmen, out of previous enmity the miscreants poured the poison in his fish farm very tactfully and fled away. As a result, several hundred kgs of lobsters of different grades were destroyed. He added, the matter was brought to the notice of Upazila Fishery Officer and police of Sharankhola PS verbally.
