Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon on Monday said Lithuania showed keen interest to support aviation sector providing training to our pilots aimed at improving their capacity.
“Lithuania is a good friend and they showed interest to provide technical cooperation in our aviation sector,” he told after a meeting with Lithuanian Ambassador Laimonas Talat Kelpsa at his ministry office.
Highlighting his ministry’s various development projects Menon informed the Ambassador that the government has undertaken initiative to construct the biggest airport for improving air communication system regionally and internationally.
The minister also told Laimonas Talat Kelpsa that the government would start feasibility study for construction of the airport soon.
