A university student was killed after being hit by a thunderbolt at Daulatpur village in Pirganj upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Premandra Roy, 24, son of Ramnath Roy of the same village.
He was a third year student of agriculture faculty at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, locals said.
A thunderbolt hit Premandra while he was working in a pond near his house leaving him dead on the spot.
