Two people were killed in lightning at Dariar par and Dari Kalinagar in Jhenaigati upazila of Sherpur district on Sunday night.
The deceased were identified as Md Sada Mia(36) son of late Siddik Ali at Dariarpar and Md Basiruddin(55) son of late Kasimuddin at Dari Kalinagar in Jhenaigati upazila of the district.
Sources said both of them were returning home after their outside works. At that time it was raining heavily and thunderbolt heat them suddenly. Sada Mia and Basiruddin died on spot.
Officer in charge of Jhenaigati thana Md Mizanur Rahman confirmed about it.
