Two persons were killed and several others critically injured after getting struck by lightning at Kismat Mahmudpur village in Bagherpara upazila of Jessore district.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Ali, 14, son of one Hossain Ali Sardar from Kismat Mahmudpur village, and Sabbir Hoosain, 22, son of one Sahab Molla from the same area.
Moreover, two others- Rezwan Hossain, 14 and Mitu Khatun, 14- were injured and taken to Jessore General Hospital.
According deceased’s family sources, they were standing in a local shop when the lightning stroke.
Jessore General Hospital physician Dr. Kallol Kumar Saha told media that lighting-hit two persons died before arriving to hospital while the other two are being treated.
