Two farmers died on the spot when thunderbolts hit them during a storm in Shahjadpur upazila of the district on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Ayub Ali, 45, of Jamirta village and Saher Ali Fakir, 43, of Narua village under the upazila.
Witnesses said the incident occurred when the farmers were working in their paddy field in the evening. The lightning left the duo dead on the spot.
