A madrasa student was killed by lightining at east Jhaukhali village under Taltoli upazila of the district on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Jahidul Islam, 17, son of Siddhiqur Rahman of the village.
Jahidul was critically injured after he was struck by lightning while working at a paddy field.
Later, he died on way to hospital.
