One house wife was killed by lightning at Belgacha union under Kurigram Sadar upazila at 10 am on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Minara Begum 45 wife of day labourer Dabir Uddin of village Pchchim Kallayan of the union.Local sources said Minara Begum went out from her house in search of work. While it was raining she took shelter under a eucalyptus tree where thunder bolt struck her. She was killed on the spot.She was the mother of three sons and a daughter.
Local UP chairman Liton Miah ensured the incident. A pathetic shock was prevailing in the area following the incident.
