Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in several parts of the country, a met office release said yesterday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over the country, it said.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The low over Northwest Bay and adjoining coastal areas persists. Under its influence deep convection is taking place and steep pressure gradient lies over North Bay and adjoining areas. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and strong elsewhere over North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 36.4 degrees Celsius at Sylhet and minimum temperature yesterday was 24.0 degrees Celsius at Rangamati.
Highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00am yesterday was recorded 34millimeters (mm) at Nikli.
