Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at many places over Barishal, Chattogram and Khulna divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over the country.
Mild Heat Wave is sweeping over the districts of Faridpur, Sirajganj, Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Mymensingh, Cumilla, Chandpur, Feni, Satkhira, Jashore, Chuadanga, Kushtia and Bhola and it may continue.
Day temperature may rise slightly over northern part and it may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country, said a weather forecast report valid for 24 hours since 9am on Friday morning.
The low over the East-central Bay and adjoining the North Bay now lies over West-central Bay and adjoining northwest Bay. It is likely to intensify.
Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. Monsoon is
fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong elsewhere over the North
Bay, reports BSS.
The maximum temperature of the country on Thursday was recorded 36.6 degree Celsius at Tarash and Friday’s minimum temperature 23.8 degree Celsius was recorded at Cumilla.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am on Friday was recorded 57
millimeters (mm) at Sandwip.
