Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur in several parts of the country, a met office press release said on Wednesday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over the country, it said.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The well-marked low over northwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining area now lies as a low pressure area over the same region.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Centre of the low, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 35.6 degrees Celsius at Tetulia and minimum temperature on Thursday was recorded 24.7 degrees Celsius at Rajarhat.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00am yesterday was recorded 125 millimeters (mm) at Cox’s Bazar.
