Light to moderate rain with gusty wind likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Chattogram, Barishal and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy falls at isolated places over the country in 24-hour till 9am today,” said a met office bulletin issued here.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.
The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded 35.7 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi in Rajshahi division while Friday’s minimum temperature was 24.5 degrees Celsius at Feni in Chattogram division.
Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am on Friday was recorded 19 millimeters (mm) at Sylhet in Sylhet division.
