Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said a met office release here on Monday.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and thence northeastwards to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 34.0 degrees Celsius at Jashore and minimum temperature on Monday was recerded 24.4 degrees Celsius at Teknaf.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am on Monday was recorded 40 millimeters (mm) jointly at Khulna and Maijdi Court.
