Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at many places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am yesterday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over southern part of the country,” said a met office bulletin here on Wednesday.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added.
Country’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 36.0 degrees Celsius at Sylhet and yesterday’s minimum 22.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Feni in Chattogram division.
The highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am on Wednesday was recorded 98 millimeters (mm) at Kutubdia in Chattogram.
