Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Thursday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at mamy places over Rangpur, Sylhet, Khulna and Barishal divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office press release.
“The monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay,” added the release.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 35.2 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and minimum temperature on Thursday 24.5 degrees Celsius at Teknaf.
