Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places in Rangpur, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions in 24 hours as of 9 am today, a met office release said on Sunday.
It also forecasts moderately heavy to heavy falls is likely to occur at few places across the country including Rajshahi, Khulna, Mymensingh and Dhaka.
Besides, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period.
Country’s highest temperature on Saturday was recorded 35.8 degree Celsius at Dinajpur and minimum temperature on Sunday 24 degree Celsius at Rangamati. The highest rainfall was recorded 87 millimeter at Netrokona.
Meanwhile, a warning message of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said, “rain or thundershowers with temporary south or south-easterly, gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kph is likely to occur in the regions of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Kushtia, Jessore, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar And Sylhet wherein riverports shall hoist cautionary signal number one.”
