Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at many places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am yesterday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at some places over the country,” said a met office bulletin on yesterday.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country, it said.
Country’s maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 33.5 degrees Celsius at Srimangal in Sylhet and lowest one yesterday 23.5 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi.
The highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am yesterday was recorded 166 millimeters (mm) at Ishurdi in Rajshahi.
