Customs intelligence and Investigation Deptt sued Liberty Enterprise of Chittagong for alleged evasion of govt revenue over the import of raw materials under bond facilities.
The importer brought raw materials from abroad amount to Tk.46 cr under tax free bon facilities aimed at exporting the finished products from their end . But the importer sold out these raw materials to open market with maximum benefits with evading the govt revenue during import .
A customs sources said liberty enterprise evaded tax of Tk.11 cr over these raw materials of export oriented RMG factories. Mentionable that Customs intelligence also filed another case of tax evasion against the owner of Sunrise Accessories.
