Hijras (the third gender) are usually rejected at birth by the family and then by the society. The only shoulder that they can borrow to cry on is a shoulder of the same kind. A prisoner shackled down with heavy chains in his/her own neighbourhood. An oddity of creation gulping down the stigma like there is no tomorrow, fighting dilemma within themselves every day.
They also love dressing up, looking good, feeling good like others on Pahela Boishakh, the first day of Bangla new year! It is an occasion which all Bangladeshis celebrate with utmost happiness from the bottom of their hearts!
We pray for a great new beginning and promise to forget and erase weariness and woes of the past. We celebrate in vibrant new clothes, flower in our hair and many more. It is an occasion for all-Muslims, Hindus, Christians as well as an Buddhists. It is an occasion for all Bangladeshis!
RR welcomes you to celebrate Pohela Boishakh 1426 in style with people of all genders, colours, ethnicities, races and religions from all spheres of life Let us drown in colours positivity and good vibes in style with RR as we dance and sing to embrace the Bangla new year 1426!
