‘Let us create public awareness against adulterated, poisonous food,’ Nawshaba

Sheikh Arif Bulbon :Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed is one of the popular models and TV actresses of present time in media. She has been performing on stage and in TV plays for many days. Recently Nawshaba has come into limelight to perform as a model in a television commercial (TVC) of Brac Bank’s Cash Deposit Machine. Nawshaba started her career by a TVC of Banglalink’s Ladies First. She also became popular to perform in TVCs of GrameenPhone, BBC Sanglap, Nescafe, Meridian Chips and Teletalk. With the time span she also acted in several popular plays and TV serials like Jadur Shohor, Andor-e Alo, etc. Nawshaba started her theatre performance in 2011. Her first acted theatre play was Chhotobela Borobela. Her acted first TV serial was Jewel Mahmud’s Lolita. For six years she was attached with puppet direction and also gave her vocal for the role of Ikri Mikri in Sisimpur. She also acted in role of Bhuto in Sisimpur. She acted in Amit Ashraf’s movie Udhao. Now Nawshaba has become selective while working in media. Besides her role, she also gives priority to the script. She is delighted to perform in TVC of Brac Bank’s Cash Deposit Machine. “To promote the use of cash deposit machine I agreed to work in the TVC. I am really glad to work in the new TVC of Brac Bank,” Nawshaba said.Daughter of Lt Col Quazi Selim Uddin and Nahid Selim Nawshaba was born in Dhaka Cantonment area. But she was brought up at Adabor in Shyamoli area. She passed SSC and HSC from Holy Cross School and College respectively. Later she completed BFA and MFA degrees from the department of Drawing and Painting of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Dhaka University. Nawshaba has been attached with a new organisation named Bishmukto Bangladesh as its organiser. “My main aim is to create awareness among the people against adulterated and poisonous food under the banner of the organisation ,” Nawshaba said.
