The newly elected committee of Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA) took its official responsibility on Thursday.
Mohammad Abul Bashar and Shamim Ahmed Chowdhury Noman, the newly elected President and Secretary General respectively of BAIRA took responsibility in a function in its office on the New Escaton Road in the capital.
The new committee was elected on September 3 through election in Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel.
BAIRA former President Mohammad Noor Ali was the Chief Guest in the programme.
Noor Ali said in the function that the syndicate of Malaysian labour market must distribute all of working visas among all license holders of BAIRA.
He said there is a rule of giving certain money to BAIRA regarding sending workers to Malaysia.
“But some traders have violated the rule, the new committee should realize the money from the violators,” he said.
Mohammad Abul Bashar said BAIRA will go ahead with combined efforts of all of its members.
He renewed his commitment to work for welfare of the members.
Shamim Ahmed Chowdhury Noman said there are huge challenges in front of the BAIRA newly elected committee.
He asked all members to work together to face such challenges.
The other office bearers are Senior Vice-President Reaz-ul-Islam,
Vice-Presidents Noman Chowdhury, Mohammed Abu Zafar, Md Abul Barakat Bhuyan, Joint Secretary Generals Mohammed Fakhrul Islam, Akber Hossain Monju, Md Tipu Sultan, Finance Secretary Mizanur Rahman, Sports, Recreation and Cultural Secretary Rehana Perween, Publication Secretary Farid Ahamed and Members’ Welfare Secretary Mohammad Ashraf Uddin.
All the office bearers are from BAIRA Sammilita Oykya Parishad led by Mohammad Abul Bashar.
The other 14 executive committee members elected include 10 from BAIRA Sammilita Oykya Parishad.
They are Shahadat Hossain, Ali Haider Chowdhury, Mohammad Musa Karim, Mostafa Mahmud, Arifur Rahman, Belal Hossain Mazumder, Mohammed Oli Ullah, Rafiqul Islam Patwary, Hoque Zahirul (Joe) and Kamal Uddin (Dilu).
BAIRA Sammilita Gonotrantrik Jote had four contestants elected as executive committee members. They are Mohammed Mofizur Rahman, Mohammad Abul Bashar, Md Ruhul Amin Shawpon and MA Sobhan Bhuiyan (Hasan).
