Laxmipur Zila Parishad chairman M Shamsul Islam died at Noakhali General Hospital on Friday morning.
Family sources said M Shamsul Islam, who had been suffering from kidney-related diseases, fell sick at his residence around 10:00 pm on Thursday.
He was first taken to Adhunik Hospital in the
town and later shifted to Noakhali General Hospital where he breathed his last at 7:00 am. He is survived by his wife and two sons. Laxmipur-3 constituency MP AKM Shahjahan Kamal, district Awami League President Golam Faruk Pinku, general secretary advocate Nur Uddin Chowdhury Noyon expressed deep shock at his death.
