Lawyers’ panel formed for providing legal support to detained 20-party alliance activists

Three separate lawyers panels have been constituted in Chittagong court building aimed at extending legal supports to the detained leaders, workers those arrested during the blockade and hartal period recently as enforced by the BNP led 20 -party alliance.
 These panels named after Ctg city panel, Ctg North district panel and South district panel.
 This is the first time of such lawyers panel to extend legal supports to the party leaders and workers.
After police-opposition clash on Jan 5 last infront of BNP city office, this new concept of lawyers panel is formed .
 Sources said the panel lawyers will extend legal supports to the detained opposition leaders, workers belong to BNP led alliance in city area and district areas.
These three lawyers consists of lawyers belong to BNP , Jamaat an d LDP . Sources said City lawyers panel will look after the cases within the jurisdiction of 15 city thanas, North and South panel will look after the matters relates to North district and South district respectively.
A sources of Chittagong Bar Association said city panel consists of former Metro PP Advocate Abdus Sattar, forer Special PP Advocate Kamrul Islam Chowdhury, former PP Adv. Mujibul Hoque and Sirajul Islam . Ctg North district panel consists of Adv Samsul Allam, Adv. Nasima Begum, Adv. Rowshan ara, Adv. Alamgir. Ctg south panel includes Adv. Kafiluddin, Adv. Mansur Ansari , Adv. Mobarak, Adv Forhan and Adv. Liaquat Ali.
