CU Correspondent :
The students of law were urged to provide law services to the poor and deprived people as most of the people, leading a poor life, can’t get the proper justice due to lack of legal support from the lawyers.
Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury made the call on March 30 while addressing a concluding ceremony of a three-day-long workshop themed ‘land survey and land record’ which was held at CU law faculty auditorium.
Chittagong University Law Faculty and Higher Education and Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) under UGC jointly hold the workshop, which opened on March 28.
Dr Iftekhar said most of the people of our country are totally ignorant at land survey and record, followed by this many of them victimized by fraud by the land grabbers. To save the people from being swindled, the lawyers should come forward.
Nirmal Kumar Saha, project manager of (HEQEP-CP) and associate professor of CU chaired the workshop where Prof Dr Sajeda AKter, assistant prof Abdullah-al-Mamun and Dr Moinuddin addressed the concluding ceremony.
