A large python was rescued from a classroom of a primary school on Thursday at the frontier upazila of Baghaichhari.
Police and forest personnel in a joint initiative rescued the 11-feet long python from a classroom of Uluchhari government free primary school under bordering Baghaichhari upazila, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Suman Chowdhury told BSS this morning.
The rescued python, weighed about 25 kg, was brought to upazila headquarters and handed over to local forest department officials to release in the forest, the UNO said.
Later, the python was released in the forest.
