Lankan food fest kicks off

A five-day Sri Lankan food festival has started at The Peninsula Chittagong, a renowned hotel, in the city.
To promote the Sri Lankan traditional food items and culture in Bangladesh the Peninsula Chittagong organised the festival titled “Sri Lanka Food Festibal-2016” at its Laguna Hall.
Sri Lankan High Commissioner H E Yasoja Gunasekera inaugurated the festival on Tuesday as Chief Guest while Managing Director of The Peninsula M Mustafa Tasheen Arshad and General Manager Mushtak Luhar were present as Special Guests among others.
The festival started with a Sri Lankan musical programme. It will end on Saturday next. The festival is open for all from 7:00am to 11:00pm every day.
