Ramjan Ali, Sub -assistant Land Officer of 3 No. Rudaghara Union Land office under Dumuria Upazila of Khulna district, was assaulted by the mob for his alleged involvement in corruption including taking bribe and unsocial activities on Tuesday noon, centering an altercation of cutting ‘Dakhila’.
One Abu Sufian went to the land office with a view to cut dakhila, but corrupted sub assistant land officer Ramjan Ali gave him a dakhila of Taka 9714, though he took taka 14000 from Sufian, an altercation was created for thyis reason, it is alleged.
Being heard the matter, around 200 people gathered on the spot who became aggrieved and assaulted Ramjan Ali. Later, Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
Rafiqul Hassan, Upazila assistant commissioner of land (AC, Land) visited the spot later on.
