Viewers’ choice popular film actress and director Parvin Sultana Diti died in March of this year. Few years ago, Diti started to make TV plays, serials and telefilms under own production house, DLD. Till last year’s July telefilms and plays were made under Diti’s production house.
Today Diti is not alive. Her daughter Lamia Chowdhury has taken an initiative to restart activities of her mother’s production house again.
While talking in this regard Lamia told this correspondent, “Now Ammu is not alive. She made her production house day by day after facing many problems. I shall try my level best to continue activities of her production house. As a part of its primary initiative, I and Aditya Joni have jointly made a play titled Dui Putul-er Golpo under the banner of Ammu’s production house, DLD. Within very short time I am coming in direction independently. Everybody pray for me as I can successfully work under this production house in the long run.”
Scripted by Azam Khan Badhon, Kalyan Coraiya and Naim worked in the play Dui Putul-er Golpo.
While talking about the play actor Naim said, “Basically I have liked the main theme of the story of Dui Putul-er Golpo. Shouting, anger and quarrel are part of our conjugal life. I could not work under Diti Apa’s direction. But I got her as my co-actress. Lamia’s thinking is modern. If we assist her, she can become one of the creative directors.”
Badhon said, “Diti Apa is not alive. If I think it my eyes become full of tears. She is not present but we took part in shooting at her residence. In every moment, I am feeling her. Sometimes I feel she may be hugged me. We want DLD should continue its activities in the long run because she has build up this house by own dedication and patience.”
Lamia informed that the play will be aired in any satellite channel soon. From end of this month she will independently start to make a serial titled Ayesha. It will be also made under the banner of DLD.
It is noted that under Diti’s direction Badhon and Kalyan worked together in several times.
