Four people were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Seedstore area on Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway on Tuesday .
Of the deceased, three were identified as bus-helper Rasel Ahmed Rubel, 28, and passengers Faruq Ahmed, 27, and Tofael Ahmed, 28. The identity of the deceased woman is not known.
The accident took place when a Mymensingh bound bus from Dhaka crashed into a standing truck at Seedstore area around 8 am, killing three people on the spot and injuring three others, the police official said quoting locals. The injured passengers were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where one more person died, said the SI. Police seized the vehicles.
Jashore Correspondent adds: Ahsanullah,36, in-charge, Chingra police camp under Keshabpur upazila in Jashore and a resident of Abdullahpur under Monshigonj Sadar upazla, was killed in road crash at Nabinagar under Jhikargachha upazila on Jessore- Benapole Highway on Monday afternoon. Confirming the information, Naimur Rahman, Additional superintendent of police, Jashore told that incident took place as a goods laded truck ran over his motorbike while he was making a phone call by the side of the road at around 3pm on Monday. He died on the spot, said. The police seized the truck although driver of the truck, however, managed to flee.
