Prime Minister of Kuwait Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al Sabah and its parliamentary speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim on Thursday congratulated Sheikh Hasina on her reelection as the premier after the January 5 elections. According to a foreign office statement the Kuwaiti premier renewed the commitment to strengthen bilateral relations and areas of cooperation with Bangladesh in the interest of the two peoples.
Speaker of Kuwait’s National Assembly expressed the hope that Sheikh Hasina’s leadership for another term would strengthen the bilateral ties.
Director General of UNESCO Irina Bokova, meanwhile, also congratulated the Bangladesh premier and wished that Bangladesh would overcome the challenges in the spirit of mutual understanding, reconciliation and harmony. She also appreciated Bangladesh’s constant support as an important E- 9 country to UNESCO’s activities.
