Adel Mohammed came up with the assurance when he paid a courtesy call on with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office.
PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed the reporters after the meeting.
Appreciating the able leadership of Hasina, the envoy said that he was impressed to see the development of Bangladesh under her leadership. “Kuwait is always ready to assist Bangladesh in its development efforts,” Adel was quoted as saying by Karim.
Terming Bangladesh as his second home, the Kuwaiti envoy thanked the Bangladesh government for extending its support during its difficult time during the Gulf War, saying Kuwait is indebted to Bangladesh.
He said that the Bangladeshi people are very hard working in Kuwait.
In response, the Prime Minister said that Bangladesh wants to send more skilled manpower to Kuwait.
Noting that Kuwait has a special place in the hearts of Bangladeshis, Hasina said that Kuwait was contributing to Bangladesh’s development efforts to a great extent.
Recalling the visit of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Munibur Rahman to Kuwait after independence, she said since then the bilateral relation of the two countries is becoming increasingly stronger.
