Lightning killed one person and another was injured at Mohanjang Union under Rajibpur Upazila of the district recently.
The deceased was identified as Nur Mohammad, 50, son of Al-Haj Ayenuddin of Patadhoa village of Mohanganj union and a common small trader while the injured was Saidul Islam, 35, son of Shahajahan Ali of the village Patadhoa.
Local eye witnesses said the victims took shelter under a shade of rich husking mill at Barober village of Mohanganj union at around 5pm on Monday while light rain with lightning was begun.At that time, a lightening hit them and injured seriously. Later they were brought in to Rajibpur upazila health complex after a few moment where doctor declared Nur Mohammad as death.
