Staff Reporter :Mizanur Rahman, a friend of Anower Hossain Rubel, brother of Sohagi Jahan Tonu, has been missing since midnight of March 27. The family members alleged that some plain cloth men went to the village of Narayansar under Burichang Upazila in Comilla district in three microbuses, raided Mizanur’s house and took him with them, introducing themselves as members of a law enforcing agency. Briefing the incident at Comilla Press Club on Saturday his (Mizanur) mother Shahida Akhter and elder sister Khaleda Akhter told the journalists that they had lodged a General Diary (GD) at Burichang police station on March 30. In the GD, it has been mentioned that after taking Mizanur on March 27, the family members moved to the RAB and the Detective Branch (DB) of Police to get information about Mizan, but failed as the RAB and the DB did not cooperate.Khaled Akhter told journalists that Mizanur was called in cell phone three times consecutively on March 27 when Rubel was giving an interview to a television channel. It might be the reason of his (Mizanur) missing. The members of Mizanur’s family appealed to law enforcement agencies for rescue of the boy. In this regard, CID’s investigation officer in the Tonu’s murder case said that they did not arrest any one regarding this case.
