Engineering Dimensions, a renowned business house of Saudi Arabia, has shown its interest to set up a mega furniture manufacturing industry in the country.
The company also wants to invest in other sectors, including petro chemical and sugar.
The information come Tuesday while a business delegation of Saudi Arabia, led by President of the Saudi Engineering Dimensions Mohammed N Hijji, called on Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun at his office in the city, said a press release.
During the meeting, they discussed various bilateral issues, including trade and investment.
Humayun said Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation (BSEC) and Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) have signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Engineering Dimensions for investing in the country.
“Industries Ministry is working with the highest professionalism and cordiality to increase Saudi investment in the country,” he added.
Among others, Industries Minister M Abdul Halim, Additional Secretary of the Industries Ministry Begum Parag and BSEC Chairman M Mijanur Rahman were present at the meeting.
