Korean businessmen keen to invest in ceramic industry in Sylhet

A delegation the Assembly of the Republic Korea has expressed their desire to invest in ceramic industry in Sylhet. The delegation was led by Director General Jnong Oon Kim of Embassy of the Republic of Korea. A discussion meeting was held at 4 p.m. yesterday at Sylhet Chambers of Commerce and Industries (SCCI) conference Hall of the SCCI Office Complex at Jail Road in Sylhet City with SCCI President Khandaker Shiper Ahmed in the Chair.
While deliberation Korean Trade Investment Promotion Agency’s Commercial Councilor and Director General Jnong Oon Kim expressed his optimism t o invest in Sylhet Ceramic Industry.
The Director General said the relationship between Bangladesh and Korean is very charming.
Mr. Kim said Korean Companies are now in pack brands in the world.
Besides, the Korean Companies are now leading manufacturer of Electronic goods and Software’s. He said Bangladesh has a bright prospect, for which we are discussing between ourselves. He urged to send delegates from Sylhet to South Korea. While delivering speech SCCI President Khandaker Shiper Ahmed called upon the Korean business community to invest in Sylhet Economic Zone and Companigonj Hi-Tech Park in Sylhet District. Prominent among those who addressed the meeting are SCCI Vice – President Md. Musud Ahmed Chowdhury, North East University Associate Prof. Tanvir Ahmed Chowdhury , Bangladesh Investment development Authority Assistant director Syed Mahammed Sharafuddin , Programmer of Bangladesh Computer Council and Centre- in-Charge Modhusdan Chanda, Managing Director of Medi-mart Dr. Syed Khosruzzaman and others.
