Abhijit Sarkar Jitu is a lead guitarist, music composer and director. Under his music composition, many renowned singers lent their voices. Runa Laila, Andrew Kishore, Kanakchapa, Anima D’Costa, among others, rendered songs under his composition. Jitu has
composed a song titled Mayar Chador
for Mehedi Hasan directed his new movie Jol Joshnai. Sejul Hossain wrote lyrics of the song. National Film Award winning popular singer of present generation Konal lent her voice for the playback song in the movie. Tanjib Sarowar was her co-singer in this playback song. Shooting of the movie has already started. Before that Jitu has completed recording of the song.
Earlier, Konal lent her voice for a jingle under Jitu’s music composition.
While talking about Konal’s rendering style, Jitu said, “When I was working with the song Konal was in my mind as a singer. It is that type of song which Konal renders. After giving voice, it seemed the song was perfect in voice of Konal. She has rendered the song nicely. I am hopeful about the song. Tanjib has lent his voice with Konal in this playback song. Tanjib also rendered the song well. Overall, it has become a nice song. I hope listeners will enjoy the song.”
Jitu also said that he detached from composing music for several years. Now he has become engaged with music again. He is in-charge of again started RTV’s Folk Station Season 5 produced by Nur Hossain Hira. Jitu will also work as music director for Mehedi Hasan’s another movie. In movie Jol Joshnai, Kona-Imran-Nodi-Rajesh-Shantonil Dhar rendered playback songs under Jitu’s composition. Due to his engagement with Folk Station, Jitu does not give time to stage shows. He only gives time to Imran and Luipa’s stage shows if it is held in Dhaka. But he cannot manage time to participate in shows outside the capital, he said.
