A four-member delegation led by Cary Joe Hyungue, Country Director of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md. Akhtaruzzaman on Sunday at the latter’s office of the university. The delegation members were Deputy Country Director of KOICA Ahreum Go, Program Head Minseo Ju and Senior Program Officer Biswajit Sarkar of same agency.
Vice-Chairman of Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Center (ICE) of DU Prof Dr Khondoker Bazlul Hoque, Executive Director of ICE Md. Rashedur Rahman, Prof Dr Muhammad Shariat Ullah of the Department of Organization Strategy and Leadership, Associate Prof Dr BM Mainul Hossain of the Institute of Information Technology, Lecturer Sayeda Akther of the Department of International Relations and Deputy Secretary of ERD ASM Mustafizur Rahman were present on this occasion.
During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of undertaking a pilot project to develop education and research as well as innovative skills at Dhaka University with the financial assistance from KOICA. They stressed the need for making socio-economic development through innovation and entrepreneurship in Bangladesh. The Vice-Chancellor thanked the KOICA delegation for their willingness to provide support and cooperation in undertaking a pilot project at DU.
