South Africa fast bowler Kagiso Rabada revealed that the toughest batsman he faced so far is the Indian captain Virat Kohli.
The 23-year old pacer has been phenomenal since his debut in all the formats of the game and his ODI career started against Bangladesh where he ended up taking a fifer on debut.
In an interview with Sportskeeda, when asked who’s the toughest he has faced so far, he said – “So far, it has been Virat Kohli who has been scoring a lot of runs. I haven’t played as much against other nations.” However, Rabada dismissed Kohli twice and he faced him in 11 ODIs & six Tests. Though, he is yet to dismiss him in Tests.
The youngster also talked about his senior bowling partner Dale Steyn and said that he’s one of those guys who always inspire the youth.
“Dale Steyn’s contribution to South Africa is immense. He’s been a contributor and won a lot of games for the country. He’s played a role in putting smiles on South African faces and inspiring the youth”.
South Africa are known as chockers in the big tournaments especially in the World Cup where they got close few times to grab the trophy but left heartbroken in the end. And Rabada feels Proteas only lacks the finishing touch.
