A two-day national knowledge fair titled ‘Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation in Bangladesh’ will be held here on Tuesday-Wednesday to discuss key disaster management issues and showcase current disaster management initiatives in Bangladesh.
The event will take place in line with the impending completion of the 11-year Comprehensive Disaster Management Programme (CDMP), said a press release. Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya will inaugurate the fair.
The workshop and knowledge fair will take place at the Milky Auditorium of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE). The opening session will be followed by technical sessions, plenary sessions and side events highlighting the achievements and developments of Disaster Management in Bangladesh.
