The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday granted regular bail to Mahfuza Akhter Kiron, Bangladesh Football Federation’s Executive Member, Women Football Committee Chairman and FIFA Council member in a defamation case filed against her for making derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Magistrate Sharafuzzaman Ansari fo the CMM Court passed the order after hearing. As the case has been made ready for trial, the court directed to send the file of the case to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate for the next process. However, the court decided to pass order

later, in connection with the bar about Kiron’s foreign tour.
Sports organizer Abu Hassan Prince filed the case on March 12 under the Penal Code 500 for allegedly making derogatory remarks against the Prime Minister.
