Killers threaten Diaj’s mother to withdraw case

Jaheda Amin, mother of central leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Diaj Irfan Chowdhury said that the killers of her son threatening her to eliminate and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits. They demanded her to withdraw the murder case, sources said.
She was walking from Bangabandhu Chattar to Shah Amanat Hall of Chittagong University and crying for punishment of killers of her son. At that time, President of the Employees Union of Chittagong University Mahafujul Haque came forward to express solidarity with her and later he sent her to home. The appeal of Jaheda Amin touched all and the students present there any they also urged the law enforcers to arrest the accused persons.
Despite the court issued arrest warrant on August 7 last against the all the accused persons including Assistant Proctor of CU Anwar Hossain, President of BCL of CU unit Alamgir Tipu, former general secretary of President of BCL of CU unit Jamshedul Alam Chowdhury, incumbent publicity secretary Rashedul Alam Jisan, BCL activists Abu Torab Porosh, Monsur Alam, Abdul Malek, Mijanur Rahman, Ariful Haque Apu, Mohammed Arman and unidentified 8/10 persons, police is yet to nab them. The court also directed the law enforcers for not giving opportunity to any accused for leaving Bangladesh till the end of the case.
It may be mentioned that the leader of Bangladesh Charea League (BCL) Diaj Irfan Chowdhury was killed mysteriously and his body was recovered while it was hanging in a fan at 10pm on November 19 last year at his residence in Number 2 Gate area of Chittagong University just after end of the Golden Jubilee festival on the campus.
Victim Diaj Irfan Chowdhury was central joint secretary of central committee of BCL and former joint secretary of Chittagong University committee. Police recovered the body that night.
Two cases were filed in connection with his death. Police filed an UD case in this connection. His mother Jaheda Amin filed a murder case under Section 302, 201 and 234 of Criminal Act before the court.
