Mirsarai and Halishahar thana police of Chittagong rescued a kidnapped madrasa student from Karerhat Model village area under Mirsarai upazila of Chittgong on Saturday midnight.
Madrasa student Mahmudur Rahman Mahadi (7) was abducted onway of a madrasa in Halishahar area in city on Saturday morning.
Mahadi is the student of class of one madrasa in Halishahar. Halishahar thana officer incharge told that Mahadi was kidnapped by some miscreants aimed at realizing ransom from his guardian.
Following the demand of the kidnappers, father of the victim paid Tk.10 thousand to them but the kidnappers did not release the student and took away him in Mirsarai from city area. Being informed by the father of the abduct, Halishahar and Mirsarai thana jointly conducted raid in Karerhat adarsha village area on midnight .
In this connection kidnaper Rabiul and Delwar were arrested from the spot and they were brough t in Chittagong, sources said. A kidnap case has been lodged against them before the Halishahar thana, sources said.
