School girl Tamanna (15) who was kidnapped by her (woman) private tutor from Chitalmari Upazila in Bagerhat district was recovered from Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar on Monday by the police after long 26 days of the kidnapping. Police arrested kidnapper teacher Rohani from the same place.
Family sources said, Tamanna is a student of Class-IX of Hasina Begum Girls’ High School of Chitamari Upazila headquarters and daughter of Golam Sarwar, a technician of the local Pally Bidyut Office. Kidnapper Rikta Mohona alias Rohani Madam was a private tutor of the girl. On September 15 (Tuesday) at night (at 8 pm) the private tutor directed her (girl) to go to her (Rohani) residence over mobile phone for taking lessons. As per the direction the girl went to the residence of Rohani, but she did not return to the residence. Then the members of her family searched her hither and thither, but no trace either of the girl or of the private tutor was found and they came to know that the private tutor Rohani Madam kidnapped Tamanna and left Chitalmari.
