A madrasa girl student who was kidnapped from the area near Badhal Bazaar under Kachua Upazila in the district on March 19 was recovered from the house of the kidnapper near the same area after long 14 days.
It is alleged that the kidnapped girl was tortured inhumanly by the kidnappers .
In this connection the mother of the victim lodged a case with Kachu PS on Thursday mentioning the names of kidnapper Rubel Hawladar, son of one Delwar Hawladar of Badhal bazaar area, his daughter Helena Aktar and Asma, wife of one Arafat and unidentified 3 others. Kachua police already sent the girl to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for her medical examination.
It is stated in the case that the victim Madrsa girl student hails from the village Teligati under Morrelganj Upazila in the district. On March 18 she went to the residence of her maternal aunt near at Badhal bazaar under Kachua Upazila, adjaceant to Morrelganj Upazila. In the following morning she stood up in front of the house. At that time some miscreants led by accused Rubel Hawladar kidnapped the girl forcibly. After a long search for 14 days relatives of the girl recovered her from the house of Rubel near Badhal bazaar on the night of Wednesday (on April 2). It is also stated in the case that the girl was confined into the house of Rubel who tortured her inhumanly during the period (from March 19 to April 2).
Abu Zahid Fakrul Alam Khan, Officer-in-charge of Kachua PS told the newsmen that the victim girl has already been sent to Bagehnat Sadar Hospital for her medical examination and the police are trying to arrest the accused persons.
