A school girl who was kidnapped from Kadamtali Upazila under Nababganj district was recovered by the police from Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district on Tuesday morning.
Kidnapper Shakil Khan was also arrested by the police. Police of Morrelganj PS handed over them to the police of Kadamtali PS on the same day. In this connection a case was registered with Kadamtala PS (case No.46 dated January 20, 2020).
In this connection K M Azizul Islam, Officer-In-Charge of Morrelganj PS said on Monday the couple boarded a passenger bus bound for Morrelganj from Bagerhat. But on the way when the passengers caught them for their suspicious movement they had identified themselves as husband and wife. But in the face of interrogation Shakil Khan alias Swapna (25) who is the son of one Sekendar Khan of village Agnagar under Keraniganj had kidnapped the school girl from Kadamtali area in the face of threat and had boarded the bus in order to go to one of his relative’s residence in Morrelganj.
On the other hand , Jali Begum, mother of the girl who already registered a case with Kadamta; PS in connection with the incident told, Shakil Khan kidnapped my daughter from Matuail village under Kadamtali Upazila on Monday morning (at 6 am).
