A new gold medal titled ‘Khuda Buksh Memorial Gold Medal’ introduced at the Department of Banking & Insurance of Dhaka University (DU) on Wednesday.
Muhammad Obaidur Rahim, the 3rd son of late Khuda Buksh who is living in USA handed over a cheque for Tk. 10 lack to DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique at VC’s office to introduce the gold medal.
Professor of the Department of Economics of DU Dr. Barkat-e-Khuda and Deputy Registrar Shahena Akter were present on this occasion.
Out of the income of this donation, every year one meritorious student who will secure the highest CGPA in BBA Honors examination from the Department of Banking & Insurance will be awarded ‘Khuda Buksh Memorial Gold Medal.’
Besides, one poor but meritorious students of the department will be given scholarship from this trust fund.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Arefin Siddique thanked the donor for introducing this gold medal and hoped that the students would be highly benefited and encouraged from this donation.
