A Dhaka court on Sunday refused bail to BNP Vice-Chairman and Dhaka City convener Sadeque Hossain Khoka in two cases filed on charges of sedition and explosives explosion.
Dhaka’s Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Jahurul Haque passed the order after hearing on a bail petition filed on behalf of the former Mayor of Dhaka city.
Earlier, on Thursday, the same court denied Khoka’s bail in four cases.
Sadeque Hossain Khoka’s lawyer Sanaullah Mia move the bail petitions in two cases filed with Paltan and Sutrapur Police Stations. He was also shown arrested in a case filed with Ramna Police Station for setting a bus on fire at Malibagh in the capital.
On December 4 last year, Khoka was arrested and placed on two days’ remand in cases filed with Paltan and Shahbagh Police Stations.
