He got inspiration in acting from late actor Golam Mustafa. But he could not get the scope to work with him in a common frame. Acting is passion and profession for this noted actor and freedom fighter Khalequzzaman who will turn into 69 today. Viewers always love to see him in role of father on the screen. He also enjoys playing in that role.
Khalequzzaman was born in Shantahar. His father Dr Shamsuzzaman was medical officer of British railway. Her mother was a housewife.
He was the first master degree holder in Department of Drama and Fine Arts at Chattogram University. He was enlisted in BTV in 1975 as an actor. He first acted in BTV’s play Shorpobhromey Rojju under Nawajesh Ali Khan’s production. Later, he also acted in many serials and plays like Toma, Boro Bari, Somoy Asomoy, Suborno Somoy, etc. He first acted in movie Anirban with Razzak-Kobori. His acted last released movie was Anam Biswas’ Devi.
