UNB, Dhaka :BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is set to skip appearance in a special court on Thursday in the Zia Charitable Trust graft case.”Khaleda Zia will not be able to appear before the court today for illness,” said Sanaullah Mia, counsel for the BNP chief, on Wednesday. Cross-examination of other accused in the case, including Ziaul Islam Munna, is scheduled to be held today, Sanaullah added.On August 8, 2011, the ACC filed the Zia Charitable Trust graft case with Tejgaon Police Station accusing four people, including Khaleda Zia, of abusing power in raising funds for the trust from unknown sources.ACC deputy director Harunur Rashid, also an investigation officer of the case, pressed charges against the accused on January 16, 2012.
