In a condolence message on Wednesday, the former prime minister recalled ABM Musa’s role in the country’s journalism in the last 60 years. She also recalled his contributions to the Liberation War in 1971.
She said that ABM Musa in his long career had been a witness to many historical incidents and he would be remembered for his contributions. He was a valiant journalist and impartial columnist. Khaleda Zia also recalled her late husband Ziaur Rahman for evaluating ABM Musa, saying that Ziaur Rahman appointed him director general of Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB).
In a separate condolence message, the party acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also expressed deep shock at the death of ABM Musa. He said that his death created a vacuum in the journalist society. The loss is irreparable, he said.
